Could the happenings done to each character be reason for his/her actions later on... or has he/she always been and acted that way?

The 1st Witchcraft Trial... Will You Be Hanged?

Considering the reading you have completed so far in Arthur Miller's The Crucible, crying witch seems to be an ever growing popularity in Salem. Do you feel the girls are truly possessed by the so-called "witches" of Salem; if not what do you think is happening? Also, what are your thoughts on Tituba's role in this play? Do you feel her role is pertinent to the overall theme in the play? How?
